• International Whaling Commission (Comissão Baleeira Internacional), desde 2005
• Convention on Migratory Species (Convenção sobre a Conservação das Espécies Migradoras da Fauna Selvagem), desde 2001
• The Abidjan convention (Convenção de Abidjan)

Observações confirmadas

(dados obtidos de Weir and Collins, 2015): “Existem relativamente poucos registos confirmados, com seis avistamentos no Parque Nacional de Niumi, localizado entre a Barra Point, no Rio Gâmbia, e a Reserva da Biosfera do Delta do Saloum. São conhecidos um avistamento, duas carcaças e um crânio na costa mais a sul, entre Kotu e a Sanyang Point.”
